Doorwise privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Doorwise helps people in the UK search for homes and check an area before a viewing. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Doorwise is published by Arbiva Consultancy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Arbiva Consultancy Limited is responsible for the information described in this policy. You can contact us at the address below.

No account, no profile

Doorwise does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address or phone number.

Information stored only on your phone

Your shortlist, notes, viewing checklists, photos, saved searches, recent searches and settings are stored on your device. We do not upload them to our servers. You can delete them at any time in Settings > Delete all my data, or by uninstalling the app.

Information sent to services to make features work

Sharing a home or your list

If you choose to share a home or your shortlist, Doorwise uploads a copy of what you share (the listing details, your checklist answers, notes and up to six photos) to our server and creates a private link. Anyone with the link can view it. People who open a shared home can add a thumbs up or down with an optional name and comment, which is stored with that share. Shared copies and comments are deleted automatically after 15 days.

Advertising

The free version of Doorwise shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), your IP address and information about ad interactions to show and measure ads. If you are in the UK or EEA, you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices. See how Google uses information in ads. In the free version you can also choose to watch a short rewarded video for extra area checks; this is always optional.

Purchases

Doorwise Premium is a one-time purchase that removes the free limits (saved homes and daily area checks) and all ads. The payment is processed by Google Play. We do not receive your card details; the app only learns whether Premium was bought, and stores that on your device.

Camera, photos and notifications

The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to add a photo to a home, and those photos stay on your device. Reminders for saved searches are scheduled on your device; we do not send push messages from a server.

Children

Doorwise is intended for adults looking for a home and is not directed at children.

Data sources

Doorwise shows public information from police.uk, Ofsted, the Energy Performance of Buildings Register and other official sources. It may be incomplete or out of date, and it is not legal or financial advice.

Changes

We will update this page if the app's use of information changes, and change the date at the top.
